[Life] Urbanscapes 2016 • Dataran Merdeka

The last time that I can remember having a nice rest during the weekend could be months ago. So when I realized the long (3 days) weekend, you have no idea how relieved I felt!

On Saturday, my day was quite okay. Not very busy but Fatso and I did go around doing errands. We were supposed to go and watch Civil War but ended up too lazy for that.

When Sunday comes, I kinda refuse to do any planning. Fatso's family are celebrating Mother's Day early so we just joined their lunch before heading back to his house. He did some of his chores while I finish up some work, taking our very own sweet time. It was after both of us settle our stuff, we just decided to head out for a short date.

Earlier of the week, I noticed the Urbanscapes House event on Facebook that will last until the 1st of May. Since we have nothing to do after, we just randomly decided to go over and have a look.

The next thing that happened will be explained with this set of pictures. 

We spent our time at the Urbanscapes House till about 7pm. It was a rare moment for Fatso to be so motivated so I let him unleash his 'young and creative' side. He took quite a number of pictures (and super nice too) with the camera which I'm really impressed. I think I found my personal photographer already. 

This is kind of a cheat post because I only select those that I really really like. There are too many pictures and I got tired of editing them :x

I like simple outings like this. Different and almost zero-cost. We will take our own sweet time to walk while exploring 'hipster-ish' stuff and being all touristy. 

And this is our first time bringing the camera out for a nice walk and adventure! Must pop champagne for this! xD

[Life] Valentine's Day

It's not a day about flowers and expensive gifts

And it's also not a day about fancy fine dining or candlelight dinner

Yet we are not the ones that say

'Everyday is Valentine's Day with their love ones'

Because the heck, not everyday is Feb 14

You don't specially spend time with your other halves everyday
As much as you tried,
You can't devote all your attention to that one person every single day

And I bet there are days that arguments are unavoidable

Along with days when you want to be alone

Our Valentine's Day
We do something so simple that we don't really have the time to do it often

Yes, we are the sad realistic couple who hardly spend enough moments with each other

Even our Valentine's Day is hardly just on us.

Morning we had to do CNY visiting for both sides

Spend a little time there because it's also the Human Day in Chinese Calendar

Later, bringing my car out for a bath

Ended up we only managed to leave at about 2.30pm

And that's when our simple date begins :)

We went to some 'faraway' mall to escape the crowd

Grab our movie tickets, went for window shopping

Stop for a snack and we won't stop talking

It felt as if we were on our first date, the first love kind of date

Occasionally he sneaked in some little kisses on the head and soft kisses on the forehead

And I blushed like a teenage girl, returning his sneaky kisses on his cheek

We watched one funny movie

His hands wrapping around me, laughing together at the jokes

Nothing feels more perfect than that moment

We took pictures. Lots of them

Because we like the smiles and we will tease each other when looking back at them

Our date continued at this cafe which I managed to get us a place the night before
Away from other mainstream, expensive shit that kills your wallet

A simple place that serves something unique

Creamy Salted Egg Chicken Chop for only RM16.90

Food is good and price is reasonable
Way better than the overpriced romantic candlelight dinner
A delicious dinner with my amazing simple guy
What else can I ask for?

We took a drive home, this time a little quiet

Listening to my latest Anime OST obsession

Surrounded with the music, we treasured this little moment we shared

Holding hands tightly with our very own heavy heart

Knowing the day is coming to an end

Just like reading your favourite romance novel and refused to flip to the end

Reluctant to head home and to the reality

As if the god knows our heart, we managed to sneak in another little quiet moments together before we truly say goodbye

Such an ordinary day but it feels so wonderful, so magical

With him, I learnt the meaning of happiness behind the simple gesture

No presents, no flowers, no fancy celebration

But I feel so much more in love than before

The feeling of his hand holding tightly on mine

His arm around my neck and his hug from behind

I can still feel them now

This extraordinary Valentine's Day worth so much more to me than anything

The one day that I would kill for more

This imperfect man is my perfection that steals my heart away with this simple gesture

Thank you for knowing what to do to have such a loving smile from me
Thank you for saving me from my darkness
And thank you for being there with me
